Distillery Smoked with Washington Peat
Spanish Olorosso, Virgin American Oak, Kentucky Bourbon, Portuguese Red Wine & Spanish Pedro Ximenez Sherry
The nose has rich Sherry and gentle peat with coastal pine forest. This opens to sea tangle seaweed, burning heather, PX wine, red currant, dark cherry, raisin, treacle toffee, lemon zest, marmalade and Rum baba, followed with fresh root ginger, pine, cinnamon bark, cloves, potpourri, dried hay, autumn leaf fall, fresh-baked sourdough bread, hazelnut and pecan. The creamy Sherried palate has blackcurrants, papaya, dried apricot, sultanas and candied fruits, with wood smoke, lapsang souchong tea, geranium flowers and blooming heather, leading to liquorice, dried ginger, hazelnut and roasted almonds. It finishes with lingering sweet Sherry and bonfire embers, seaweed and salt carried on the ocean breeze.

Very smooth. Nice degree of smokiness (I might prefer more, but I'm probably an outlier in that respect). Nothing but very positive reactions from friends who've sampled it. Decent price. Say goodbye to Laphroaig.
