Our first-ever rye whisky produced here at Macaloney’s!

Using 100% locally grown British Columbia rye, fermented and distilled to Macaloney’s best practice methods to create a creamy mouth-feel and super fruity expression, and then matured in a Portuguese Red Wine cask.
 
Classic Canadian rye with sweet oak and rye spices, fresh ground black pepper, dried figs and dried apricot and geranium flowers, leading to caramel and vanilla fudge.

The sweet red wine develops to clove, cinnamon and nutmeg, black liquorice, roasted hazelnut and molasses. Together they are reminiscent of a festive season feast of mulled red wine with fresh baked rye bread, topped with light strawberry jam.
