Our first-ever wheat whisky produced here at Macaloney’s!
 
Using locally grown wheat fermented and distilled to Macaloney’s best practices methods to create a creamy mouth-feel and super fruity expression. It was then matured in a combination of Spanish Oloroso and Spanish Pedro Ximénez barriques, brought in from the best Sherry supplier in Jerez.
 
Our fruity house-style, overlaid with wheat and Sherry casks, presents dusty wheat grain and cereal notes, with PX Sherry, kiwi, blackcurrant, and stewed apples.  Sweet oak spices and vanilla combine with dark chocolate orange, a hint of menthol, and treacle toffee for a complex, layered experience.

The rich and creamy mouth-feel leads to sweet, sherried, thick-cut marmalade and wheat cereal akin to Shreddies breakfast cereal. This is followed by vanilla, wood spices, cinnamon and delicate hints of menthol and peppermint. Overall, it is reminiscent of mulled Sherry-wine with orange-peel, cloves and cinnamon.
